This is our downtown.
DNA San Bernardino shows up every month for the residents, businesses, and faith leaders who call downtown home. Cleanups, meetings, leadership development — built by people on this block, for people on this block.
DNA San Bernardino is a community-based neighborhood association serving the Downtown San Bernardino corridor under the NAC umbrella. We exist to organize, mobilize, and elevate the residents, businesses, and leaders who call downtown home.
We are not a charity, not a government program, and not a chamber of commerce. We are the connective tissue that makes downtown work — cleanups, community meetings, leadership development, and signature events that keep neighbors plugged into neighbors.
We work across every line that usually divides a city. Faith and grit. Action over commentary. Local first. Generational thinking. Pride starts on this block.
Events, cleanups, meetings, presence — the boots on the block.
Leadership pipeline, business growth, content, momentum.
Community voice, advocacy, recognition for the neighbors doing the work.
Partnerships, sponsorship, support — the backbone behind the action.
Every piece of work DNA does ladders up to one of four commitments. No mission drift, no generic civic content — just neighbors building forward.
Monthly cleanups, neighborhood meetings, signature events. We show up with gloves, bins, and a plan — every time.
Leadership pipeline for the next generation, business growth programs, and the local content engine that puts downtown on the map.
Community voice in front of City Hall, public recognition for the neighbors carrying the load, and advocacy that goes beyond a Facebook post.
Sponsor partnerships with downtown businesses, faith leaders, and civic allies who put their name behind the work.
Downtown San Bernardino has weathered every cycle this region has ever thrown at it. The boom, the bust, the headlines, the rebuild. What it has never lost is the neighbors who kept showing up.
DNA exists to give those neighbors a banner, a structure, and a calendar. Not because downtown needs saving — because downtown is already here. We're just organizing the work.
We work across every line that usually divides a city. No partisan baggage, no factions — just neighbors with the same zip code.
We show up with gloves, bins, and a plan. Talk is fine; the trash bag is the resume.
Every dollar, every partnership, every platform stays in the neighborhood. The block is the priority.
We lead with conviction and follow through. Confidence without the slick, hope without the naivety.
DNA San Bernardino is the Downtown Neighborhood Association of San Bernardino — a community-based neighborhood association serving the downtown corridor. It runs monthly cleanups, neighbors meetings, and a local leadership pipeline. It is not a charity, chamber, or government program, and it operates under the citywide Neighborhood Association Cluster (NAC).
Membership is free. It is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, or builds in the downtown San Bernardino corridor. Members get a vote at the monthly neighbors meeting, priority signup on cleanups and signature events, and the DNA member newsletter.
There are three ways to plug in: join as a free member, volunteer for a cleanup or event, or sponsor the work as a downtown business or civic ally. DNA runs on a monthly rhythm — one cleanup, one neighbors meeting, and one step forward on the leadership pipeline every month.
No. Membership and voting rights are tied to the downtown corridor, but anyone is welcome to attend cleanups, neighbors meetings, and signature events — show up, no questions asked.
Businesses and civic allies can sponsor at three annual tiers: Block Friend ($250), Block Partner ($1,000), and Block Anchor ($5,000+). Sponsor dollars stay local — cleanup supplies, event costs, and leadership-pipeline scholarships. Custom and in-kind packages are also available.
DNA serves the Downtown San Bernardino corridor, with monthly meetings and cleanups held downtown. Reach the team at hello@dnasanbernardino.org, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM PT.
If you live, work, worship, or build in downtown San Bernardino — there's already a seat at the table for you. Join the association, sign up for the next cleanup, or just come to a meeting and meet the block.
